About the role
We’re hiring a founding engineer for our agentic AI practice.
Build deterministic-first agent systems across fintech, HR, and other regulated domains. You’ll lead architecture, write production code, and shape our public point of view on how agentic systems should be built responsibly.
What you'll do
- Architect and build production agent systems — tool use, orchestration, guardrails
- Design deterministic-first agents that are safe to run in regulated domains
- Build and integrate custom MCP servers and tool registries
- Establish patterns for observability, evaluation, and failure handling in agents
- Write production code and lead architecture — this is a hands-on founding role
- Shape our public point of view through writing and reference implementations
What we're looking for
Must have
- 5–8 years of software engineering with a strong production track record
- 1+ year building agentic or LLM-powered systems
- Deep understanding of tool use, orchestration, and agent failure modes
- Strong fundamentals in Python, TypeScript, or Java
- Judgment about when determinism beats autonomy — especially in regulated domains
- Ability to lead architecture and still ship production code
Nice to have
- Experience with Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Background in fintech, healthcare, or other regulated industries
- Experience with eval frameworks for non-deterministic systems
- Public artifacts — open source, talks, or writing on agents
Why join AlpineQora
- Real ownership and autonomy — you drive your work, not just tickets
- Senior engineers who stay hands-on in the code, not just in meetings
- Hybrid work — 3 days office in Gandhinagar, 2 days WFH
- Comprehensive health insurance with family coverage
- Annual learning budget — courses, certifications, and conferences
- Performance bonus tied to real outcomes
- Work on systems for clients in fintech, healthcare, and other regulated industries
The process
A short, respectful process — typically 2–3 weeks from first conversation to offer:
- Intro call (30 min) — your background, what you’re looking for, and what we’re building
- Technical conversation (60–90 min) — a real problem in your domain, worked through together
- Portfolio / code walkthrough (60 min) — walk us through work you’ve shipped
- Final conversation — with the founding team
Notice period
Up to 60 days considered for strong candidates. Immediate joiners preferred.
